

Students’ learning experiences are more fruitful when well-designed preparation and consolidation techniques frame the pedagogically sound, video-based lessons provided by LinkedIn Learning. These recommendations allow instructors to include videos as a purposeful, well-integrated aspect of the lesson, rather than as outsourced instruction with little to no integration in the LMS materials. However, the recommendations made in this report are applicable to any traditional LMS-based, post-secondary teaching and learning environment.

One case study - the integration of two LinkedIn Learning software tutorial videos in Humber College’s BICC 112 – Effective Business Writing course - is used to illustrate the recommended practices when implementing LinkedIn Learning videos.
